After almost a decade of coffee bags with sticker labels, Stumptown’s founder Duane Sorensen decided they needed something new.
He wanted a way to display information on growers, farms, flavors, and more on each coffee bag, but wanted to keep a clean profile and have it be cost efficient. The result was a custom bag with color-coded cards for each region, including latitude/longitude locations, elevations, descriptions and certifications.
The brown cup and saucer sets are used in all stumptown cafés. The white diner mugs are produced in limited runs, and its likely that if you dont have one of these already, you probably missed your chance (at least with these designs).
*Little known fact: the “Indian Chief” mug was pulled from the shelves shortly after it was produced because someone somewhere in the world was offended by it. Thanks, guy.
