Born in the port town of Gothenburg, Sweden, Dunderdon is one of Sweden’s most innovative makers of workwear. Although their North American HQ is located here in Portland, their only American retail presence was in New York. In early spring 2011, Dunderdon secured a spot in the former Weave Building at the corner of 13th & W Burnside.
We concepted, sketched and designed the interior in collaboration with co-owner Les Szabo and in-house designer Jessie DeSue.
The floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and cash desk were designed in collaboration with (and masterfully fabricated by) G.Steel Design Build, a partner we are now lucky to count as friend.
Several restored/vintage pieces were sourced from Beam & Anchor’s Robert Rahm.
